Asian countries are generally densely populated and represent the largest blocks of the world's main religions and philosophies such as Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Animism and Communism. Although people in some Asian countries are highly responsive to the Gospel, many of these countries have laws restricting its propagation and practice, and forbid the work of Christians from the West. Tragically, often those who give their lives to Jesus are persecuted.

Christians in the "Free World" need to hear and understand their brothers and sisters from the "Restricted World". The Bamboo Curtain remains erect in many ways! -Old threats remain while new threats are emerging in "access-restricted" Asia.
